Tides in the Body

Some people are probably wondering why I'm highlighting the lunar phases during the full moon and new moon and posting them in my blog. The moon is something of a timekeeper for life on Earth. Like in the oceans, the human body has ebbs and flows.

Water flows through the cells in strict dependence on the moon. This is particularly strong during the new and full moons. The moon's effect is visible not only in the ocean, but also in trees, for example. Although invisible to the eye, but technically measurable, trees swell and shrink strictly in rhythm with the lunar phases.

And just like the cells in trees, our body cells react. The moon influences our body's water balance, and we should be aware of this. When people complain of difficulty sleeping during a full moon, it's not because it's too bright.

No, it's the body's water balance, which is influenced by the moon's position. Police officers and taxi drivers regularly report higher levels of alcohol consumption during a full moon, midwives are busier, and mosquitoes bite more quickly. Unfortunately, what hasn't been sufficiently researched yet is how we can utilize the lunar phases for practical purposes. Aside from a few esoteric approaches, research in this area is still very sparse.

Retirement home or suicide?

How do you imagine your retirement if you can no longer care for yourself, if your partner (if you had one) has predeceased you, or if you've ended up in a nursing home?

Garden > Healthiness

In the picture, you can see how you can create a garden even in the smallest spaces. Since the courtyard is completely sealed, I placed the beds in wooden troughs. This small garden offers enough space to grow vegetables for eight weeks. This year, I'm growing beans, zucchini, all kinds of herbs, green lettuce, peas, cucumbers, and leeks. The first small tomatoes are already in the greenhouse, and I'm looking forward to the chilli peppers. They were so hot last year that I still use some dried today as a peppery seasoning. Now, someone might think, eight weeks of vegetables? That's... roughly €150... I'd rather work for someone else for a few more hours and buy the greens from the supermarket. Because, man! The value of homegrown herbs, vegetables, and other greens can't be measured in euros. Instead of sitting in front of the TV, nursing a fat belly, and complaining about diabetes, I'd rather water my tomatoes. Do you know what homegrown tomatoes taste like? No? Then I strongly recommend starting a small garden right away. It's even possible on a balcony!

Master Horst D. Lindenau talks about meditation

What is meditation?
"Just like coming home."

Which kind is good for me? Suits me best?
"A good meditation program is similar to a physical exercise program. Both require hard work on yourself." Choose wisely.

What is important to consider?

"An important part of any type of meditation is doing one thing at a time. Few people have got the talent and ability of multi tasking."

Masturbation

Massage IV

Self-masturbation with a Terry cloth towel is both ingeniously simple and incredibly effective. Depending on hair growth and the upper part of the head, I'm talking about a gentle massage of the face, neck, ears, and back of the neck.

The towel is excellent for gently rubbing the mentioned area; you'll feel the strength and intensity while massaging it. Light rubbing, pressing, and pushing with the towel stimulates circulation and creates a pleasant warmth. Just like a classic massage. Only this little type can be done by yourself; it's quick, costs nothing, and is extremely pleasant. Be careful around the eyes, of course. Enjoy!

For Whom the Bell Tolls

What time is it?
Time is the most valuable asset we possess—or not. Those who simply waste their time—and we're thinking of lifetimes—are wasting life, their own lives. The importance of time to us is perhaps demonstrated by the word "Zeit," the most frequently used noun in the German language.

Time is, therefore, a very valuable asset. Everyone, by the way, gets exactly the same amount of time—24 hours a day—but what we do with it varies greatly.

Easier weight loss with the TerLiMa weight loss chart

Anyone who wants to reduce their body weight needs to monitor their progress. Simply stepping on the scale daily and remembering it might have been a bit heavier 14 days ago doesn't work well.

It's better to create a small chart. In this example, March 2011. The starting weight from the previous month was 95.5 kilograms. Then, for example, enter 5 kilograms down and write the days of the month, here 31 for March, in the top bar.

Now step on the scale daily under the same conditions, ideally after getting up and before breakfast, and enter the result in the list by point. It's not too bad to forget a day or stay away from home for a few days.

It's a long-term routine that counts. The TerLiMa weight loss chart also clearly shows that it's perfectly normal to gain weight occasionally during a weight loss period. Good luck with the TerLiMa weight loss chart, it's simple but helpful.

Bread dough arrives overnight from Tunisia today by Jumbo Jet

I was at the organic supermarket again today. They have really great three-grain black bread for €1.99 and spelt bread for €1.25, 500g each. The only description I can think of for the package of black bread from my so-called baker across the street (€2.20, all 500g packs) is from the historic torture chamber in Rothenburg ob de Tauber.

There's a story about a baker who baked too small rolls. As punishment, he was dipped twice in the Tauber River. The next day, he baked extra-large ones, so to speak. I'll show them what's what. 5 dips in the Tauber River.

Food is a responsible business. People used to know that. Now, all they know is the price. And they don't even know where the bread dough often comes from. It's shipped overnight from Tunisia.

They're flown by a Jumbo Jet from Tunis to Frankfurt. From there, they're flown to all major cities, then trucked to distribution centres and finally delivered by delivery van to the supermarket or bakery, where they're delivered: Freshly baked for you! Yes, warmed up! And it's not that transport and foreign production are impossible; these baked goods are made exclusively with dead white flour.

Every walk makes you slim

Conquer your inner demons with a pedometer on your feet.

People who wear a pedometer, a so-called pedometer, walk an average of two and a half thousand more steps. This could benefit people who know they should move more but struggle to overcome their inner demons.

This is the advice of the German pharmacy magazine Diabetiker Ratgeber. For a study at Stanford University in California, doctors tested the effects of wearing a pedometer. The results are astonishing. The participants walked an average of one kilometre more daily, lost weight, and improved their blood pressure. I can fully confirm this from my own running experience.

Perhaps you must be a bit of a "statistician" to let the numbers you read motivate you. I've noticed that if I set a specific limit, I can reach it more easily using a pedometer. These things don't cost much these days; mine was £ 9, and, as I said, it's worth it.

Blowing sugar up your ass. How the food industry produces fat people

There's a popular drug, either consumed willingly or smuggled in by the food industry, that's the root cause of many nutritional problems and public health in general.

SUGAR!

Just imagine – now cats and dogs even have diabetes

"Going to the dogs" is now spelt differently: DIABETES.

Well over 100,000 diabetic dogs and cats in Germany receive regular insulin injections.

I've reported here many times that diabetes has reached epidemic proportions among people in industrialised countries. More and more pet owners are discovering that pets can also develop diabetes. Around 100,000 dogs and cats in Germany are already being treated with insulin, the hormone that regulates sugar metabolism, reports the German pharmacy magazine "Diabetes Ratgeber."

Honestly, this is not normal anymore. It really sheds light on this society. And how many dogs were "acquired" specifically to get their owners to go for a walk? And then both end up with the sugar needle.

Lieber arm dran als Bein ab (Better to be poor than to lose a leg)

Tingling in the feet? Burning in the feet? Or is it the hands?

Abnormal sensations such as tingling and burning in the feet or hands should not be taken lightly by diabetics.

Because these could be the first signs of a so-called polyneuropathy. A doctor should be consulted as soon as possible.
"The most noticeable early symptoms of nerve damage are a tingling sensation, numbness, and pain in the feet that occur during sleep," explains Dr. Curt Beil from the Professional Association of German Neurologists.

Up to 30 per cent of all diabetes patients develop diabetic neuropathy sooner or later. This nerve damage progresses rapidly without appropriate treatment, and serious complications can even lead to diabetic foot.
If symptoms have already progressed to numbness, it is essential for those affected to give their feet special attention and care, such as professional foot care. Injuries can easily go unnoticed, become infected, and lead to problematic ulcers.

By the way, smokers should heed the same warnings. After all, it is the legs and arms of diabetics and smokers that are amputated en masse.

Dioxin poison in pork

Now the pigs are striking back!

What's happening again in the food industry will convince some people to finally rely only on food produced locally, promptly, and seasonally appropriately, in familiar places by familiar people. All that "gorging" on useless stuff otherwise makes you sick and, in so many cases, just fattens you up. And only pigs want to be fat.

You are what you eat

Food holds the body and soul together. What you eat, you are. Eating yourself to death. Overeating. And other such sayings.

The comments on the last post show how vital nutrition is to us/you. Its importance is probably almost equal to that of sexual energies. But let's approach the matter practically.

Here are some recommendations. Let's start with eating unnecessary fat. Please don't go out and buy anything "low-fat." It's just more expensive, doesn't help with the fight against excess weight, and is just a trick by the food industry to increase your intake.

1. Pizza!

 2. Fatty meats

3. Chocolate

4. The popular snacks! Stay away from chips, pretzels, peanuts, and the like

5. Margarine

6. Alcohol

7. Fatty sauces

8. The popular sausages

9. Fast food

10. Cream cakes

11. Sausages in general and some cheeses

And: Keep in mind what the Yogi says: You can eat anything, it's the amount that counts.

Feel free to cheat once in a while

No, not what you're thinking ;-) I'm thinking of our daily study of the same newspaper, magazine, or news channels. We choose what we want to see and hear. But that can quickly lead to repeatedly being fed the same old stuff without really noticing.

For example, if you're more left-leaning, why not read a conservative dispatch? And if you're more drawn to documentaries and nonfiction, try a novel. Give the remote control to your kids... and on the internet, it's easy to click somewhere completely different anyway.

No one is born a master.

I still remember exactly when we went to Hamburg for the seminar. A master of mine and two other students were there. After the workshop, we naturally went out to Hamburg's nightlife. The next day, another "higher" master complained to my master that he was going out with us "student grades" in the evenings instead of with him. He was supposed to be a master!
My school's master replied that everyone is a master in some way. One gives birth to a child, and the other is a master carpenter.

Now, what does the title of master mean in martial arts? In yoga or any other art form? I mean practice, practice, practice, and iron discipline. And I would like to add another thing: Any "enlightenment" that might be achieved with mastery only lasts 14 days. Then it must be earned anew.
