Anyone who walks in a cafe without a care and orders a "coffee"
is given a choice: cappuccino, latte, caffeine-free, espresso ... forgot
something else?
But if you smoke with your coffee, then you drink another special cup. The cup of tar.
There is so much tar in an average smoking lung, if you wanted
to store it at home in the closet, the health department would show up.

100 things to do to reach 100 years (1-7)
1. Don't eat dead white bread.
2. Never do "TV marathon". Best if you don't have a television in the first place.
3. Avoid obesity! BMI can be an indicator to help.
4. Keep your teeth clean.
5. Always wash your hands proper. Of course, don't overdo it or become obsessive.
6. Be slim
7. Stay away from alcohol. Never, or if at all only moderate consumption.
... and 101 is always: Be happy and have fun in life!

Diabetics on the rise
According to a recent report from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of people with type 2 diabetes in the United States has increased significantly in the last year, now reaching nearly 26 million.
With very few exceptions, diabetes is "homemade," meaning the sufferer has chosen it themselves.
French fries and the like, combined with the TV chair, say hello.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers' shareholders are popping the champagne corks. Incidentally, 285 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes. That's making the cash registers ring.

Help yourself – no one else will help you.
*Don't get arrogant.
*Only work with purpose and focus.
*Discipline, keep the targets!
*"In a hurry" – nothing works.
*Don't try two different things at the same time. Something will go wrong.
*Expert knowledge. And apply it.
*Of course, don't be a "drug addict." Alcohol, drugs, etc.
*Luck is also part of it, of course. But what is luck?
*Don't create time pressure.
*Always be active. Don't waste time (life).
*Always keep the "boat" seaworthy.
*Independence. Insight. Courage. Wisdom. Purification.

Bypass surgery was successfully completed
We did it! The first major hurdle has been overcome, and the surgeons are satisfied with the surgery's outcome. Fortunately, only three bypasses had to be performed instead of the expected four.
Of course, complications can also arise after surgery.
TerLiMa wishes you a speedy recovery, and we'll stay tuned.

Who wants to go to the hospital?
Who wants to go to the hospital? As a patient? Here's the story of a surgery. A man in his 60s goes through the inevitable. He has a total of four bypasses on his heart. And that's how it all began...
M.* was just 14 when he was allowed to smoke a cigarette for the first time, or rather, had to. Because his friends only had one, and of course, you had to be there. It didn't take long before M. stole three cigarettes from his father's cigarette pack. And then, at some point, he spent his first pocket money on his first cigarettes.
M. has actually always smoked since then—never much, as he claims today. But that's familiar. According to smokers, the Federal Ministry of Finance is only supposed to earn five billion euros annually instead of 22 billion. Yes, you read that right. The state earns billions from its citizens' tobacco addiction. Pretty clever—the state, not the smoker.
Back to M., and of course, he also had a grandfather who lived to a ripe old age and always had a cheroot in his mouth. Oh, and Helmut Schmidt** (the poor singer) still smokes, too.
And of course, he only smoked "red hand." It's a matter of honour. Always maintain style. "Oh, he smokes such a strong cigarette, he's a tough guy!" Of course, even stupid people are impressed by such things. Like the Marlboro Cowboy, he always seemed so cool. Until he died of lung cancer, I think at the age of 49. But that's not the point.
M. never had much money in his life, either. But at least enough to pay for his approximately 300,000 cigarettes (in other words, about three hundred thousand cigarettes). With interest, that would be about 100,000 Euros in today's money.
And now, after more than 43 years of smoking, M. is in the cardiac care unit of a hospital, and here at TerLima-news, you'll read how he's coping in the coming weeks.
M* Name withheld
** Helmut Schmidt was once the German Chancellor and today refuses to recognize the Smoking Protection Act

I buy - therefore I am
What happens when we're bombarded day in and day out with messages, information, and offers that no one usually requests or that many couldn't afford to give in to and buy anyway?
What this plague of advertising has achieved, however, and long since established, is this feeling of consumerism, of being high just from looking and maybe buying.
Other "values," on the other hand, are increasingly fading into the background, forgotten. You know best what you're missing. And what no one can buy.

From today on, I will no longer smoke
Lung cancer is a devilish disease. Anyone who thinks it comes, a brief illness, and then... we all have to die... is twisted.
Lung cancer takes its time, claiming its three hundred (300) victims every day in Germany alone. Before the fatal diagnosis is actually made, there are years of torment with shortness of breath, a nasty, persistent cough, and a foul smell from one's own lungs... If that's not enough, ... when I once visited the Heckeshorn Lung Clinic in Berlin, the head director led me to a ward.
In almost every room lay relatively young men, all bald from chemotherapy. Creepy, I say! And at the end of the ward was the usual glass box. And you wouldn't believe it! Inside were three equally bald men... and they were smoking!
When I asked the professor, both astonished and shocked, what this meant, he replied: "Oh, you know, why should I forbid these poor devils from smoking now? Everyone you saw today will be dead in nine months at the most."
From today on, I will no longer smoke!
