Meditation for beginners
1. Beginners should never use burning candles. The risk of the fire getting out of control is simply too great. I personally experienced this 15 years ago when a good friend of mine caught fire in Berlin.
2. Why not sit on an ordinary kitchen chair to meditate? Quite simply, there's always the danger of falling asleep, and then it would be fatal to fall off the chair.
3. Why not meditate lying down? For a similar reason to number 2, except that it would only be in a deep sleep in this case. And as we all know, sleeping is not meditation.
4. American meditation books say you should turn off the television before the session begins. Well, I don't want to go that far. That's common sense. But the phone and cell phone should already be turned off. It would be a shame to be interrupted by a sales call during the most beautiful meditation.

Tantra Yoga is often dismissed as "sex yoga". But it is a very simple system. It recognizes that everything exists. But it lets the Yogi decide, what and when, and how much of life he allows and needs for himself. In the end, his own knowledge is more important than any dogma.

Don't wait for spring cleaning
Two meditation master from SW England - breathing is the key!
What spring cleaning is for the household, a little detoxification from time to time is for your own body. I think the beginning of fall is a good time for that. Today I would like to describe four methods that make the body fitter and more resilient and also improve its appearance. And I'm not talking about expensive pills, formulas or eventual spa visits.
Everyone has the means for a small detoxification according to TerLiMa at hand. According to Kneipp, we use clear water and a brush or a natural sponge. What do you drink during the day and evening? Tea, coffee, milk, juices, alcoholic beverages should all be stopped for three days. drink water Yes, water is and remains the best and at the same time cheapest food. And I don't mean expensive waters from the shop shelf. No, just tap water.
In most places in Germany drinking water from the tap is perfectly acceptable. It is best to provide 2-3 liters for each day and drink throughout the day and evening. The liver is cleaned as well as the kidneys. Toxins are flushed out of the body. Pay attention to a good departure! But as the saying goes, water is for washing... So wash with clear water for three days. So consciously avoid soaps and bath additives. Then use a good brush during the bath and gently rub the whole body with it.
Separated skin cells are thereby removed, the immune and lymphatic systems are stimulated. And: Cellulite, the notorious orange peel skin where toxins accumulate, is reduced. And it doesn't matter if brushing wet or dry. Always towards the heart.
But even that is not very important. TerLiMa has already reported on the brush technology in earlier articles. In addition to water, breath is of particular importance for detoxification.
Try breathing consciously. You may even try and use different yoga breathing methods. You can't go wrong with this. Every consciously executed breath means a gain. Better breathing supplies the body with more oxygen. Consciously draw in the air deeply with your diaphragm.
Take a few moments several times a day to breathe deeply. With more oxygen, the body tissue is then detoxified. Smokers don't have to give up their addiction right away. But even here, a slight reduction in consumption can work wonders.
My last tip. TV off! Try surviving three days without a TV, even without a PC or other electronic entertainment. This detoxifies the mind, sleep becomes calmer and you feel more balanced. And who is normally surrounded by many people every day, looking for peace and contemplation for three days and also being alone once in a while.

- And yoga is really not just for women. Men, join in!!!
- And of course, I personally like Tantra-Yoga best.

Although a well trained man who has mastered the Yoga and wisdom of life is able to eat nearly anything without damage to his body, these choices should be kept for the moments when good food is rare or totally unavailable.

Breath in - and out!
Life energy is about bringing true healing from within.
When we see the doctors we are prescribed drugs that will relieve the symptoms of the disorder but it does not cure us. Because the reason for being ill is still present. Any true cure involves changes to one’s lifestyle and to how we perceive ourselves, in other words the physical and psychological being.
Each breath we take is life energy which in turn enters our body through meridians energizing major organs and tissues. Any imbalance to the flow of energy will lead to ill health. The Hebrew term “Ruah” comes from “Ruh” meaning to breath the power of manifestation, or energy.
Shakespeare wrote: " O spirit of love, the spirit which heals." When we are healthy we are full of energy, spirit and love.
I truly believe that if we treat ourselves holistically, that we will become whole again and live our lives as they were meant to be.

About Yoga
The general picture of yoga is still bizarre, even after decades of
being introduced to a broader public. Some believe that whoever does yoga must
necessarily be vegan or at least vegetarian. Others think of the bizarre
contortions found only in a circus of acrobats. There is a report of the living
burial for three weeks; another supposed yogi wraps himself in NATO barbed
wire. Look at a bunch of women come out of a yoga session. The plastic yoga
mats in all colours rolled under the arms, and they watched their stressed
faces. They often don't look as if they have just done yoga. I mean real yoga.
They have done some aerobics, Pilates or whatever it's called.
Yoga is better, yoga is more, and yoga is the most comprehensive program for
holistically training the body and mind.
Yoga holds the key to the best possible lifestyle in the hand.
Those who practice yoga have put the key in the hole, and who then regularly
(that means a "rule" set up and moderate practice) practice the
asanas, breathing trained, and controlling the mind while a normal person
remains who will reap the rewards and live content and healthy.
Yoga offers the best of yoga philosophy and technology. There is no age limit
for starting a yoga study, and no equipment or exceptional food is needed. Yoga
is so diverse, so the Tantra Yogi conscientiously practices his asanas to later
drink a beer and, of course, not forget the fat roast pork on Sunday. The one
who studies Bhakti Yoga has renounced the world for a while and rests in
meditation and abstinence. Yoga offers an open way. Nobody stays outside.

Yoga is the best
Worth knowing about yoga
Strangely enough, yoga is always somehow transfigured. Yoga is simple and alone the all-encompassing system for body and mind.
Good to know:
1. There are so many yoga styles, there is something for everyone. From a gentle group for women to a power women's group. And men too of course!

The Plough
Known as Hal Asana in Sanskrit, the plough pose is an asana that targets various areas of the body. This yoga pose helps combat excess weight, especially hip fat and stomach sagging. It also positively influences menstrual and menopausal disorders.
Puberty problems can be resolved with this asana, and a positive effect on the thyroid gland can be expected. And all this without paying a cent. Because yoga can be practiced almost anytime and anywhere. This asana holds a prominent position in TerLiMa Yoga.

Yoga with a Teacher
Yoga should be learned with a teacher. That would be ideal. If there is no teacher nearby, you can also get along by studying from books. There are also instructional DVDs and lots of U-Tube videos on the subject.
I also find studying online very helpful. There are already numerous options online today; just search and choose something that suits you.
What strikes me is the fact that in India, the country of yoga's origin, there are significantly more male yoga masters, while in the Western world, it is clearly women who make up the yoga teachers.
So, men: come on!

Exercises in Nature
Nature exercises appeal to me especially. The connection with the earth is most significant here, and it's easier to feel its incredible energy. Everyone should practice and study outdoors as often as possible. It's great fun!
