Sunday in bed

Most of us can look forward to a free weekend. Thanks to modern labour laws and living conditions, an average of 60% of the European population no longer has to work seven days a week. Aside from the millions of people already on leave, the two days off for workers at the weekend offer space for relaxation and free activity.

I personally have created a system that allows for work and creative activity six days a week. However, the seventh day, Sunday, is free. For me, free means I have no appointments, I turn off the phone, I can stay in bed a little longer, I use Sunday to meet friends and family, or simply let the "pleasure principle" take over.

A day off like this during the week is absolutely necessary if you otherwise have to submit to a rigid work-related schedule. On this day, your batteries recharge. I take long walks by the sea or in the forest and enjoy art exhibitions or museums. But as I said, even Sunday in bed can be nice...

Type 2 diabetes is preventable

First of all, type 2 diabetes is a type of diabetes caused by one's own behavior.

So, what can you do to avoid this devilish disease with the sweet name?

First, understand that you shouldn't overeat, because everything the body doesn't use is stored. The result is that people get fat. This also applies to animals, by the way; there are already many four-legged friends with diabetes.

The other way around, however, is also true: those who are already ill can often restore their health through a healthy diet, i.e., eating less! If a person constantly eats too well and eventually becomes fat, the concentration of sugar in the blood can be permanently too high.

The pancreas will then secrete more and more insulin to transport the excess of the sweet substance into the cells. But as mentioned, there is help if it's not too late. If the pancreas hasn't stopped working yet, the insensitivity of the insulin receptors can be reversed by eating healthier foods. If you eat little, you only have small amounts of glucose in your blood. The pancreas then secretes only a small amount of insulin. This makes the insulin receptors more sensitive again, and the transport of sugar from the blood into the body's cells starts up again. So: Stay slim! Or get fast slim!

Yoga today is rather fancy lycra with a former ballet child as teacher. 115 says NO to that.

"Scriptures and mantras - to hell with them.

My teacher released me from practicing meditation.

With women and wine, I'm fine.

I walk the path to salvation in dance steps, a young prostitute on the altar with me.

I eat meat and take many a strong drink.

My bed, a soft warm fur - And all without a penny of money!

A better religion - who could think of it?"

Tantra Yoga is often dismissed as "sex yoga". But it is a very simple system. It recognizes that everything exists. But it lets the Yogi decide, what and when, and how much of life he allows and needs for himself. In the end, his own knowledge is more important than any dogma.

70 % muscles

No single person has 70 per cent muscle mass. But they make an ideal pair. On average, the mass of muscles in women is 30%, while in men, it is around 40%. Muscles are, therefore, the largest organism in the body after skin and bones. It's crucial to understand that if a muscle is used and trained, it works reliably and maintains itself, but neglected muscles atrophy and only have minimal performance.

This underscores the importance of maintaining muscle health, as it is a key to overall physical well-being. Successful muscle movements are rewarded in the brain by the release of the hormone dopamine. This is why physical activity is always a key to happiness and satisfaction.

Most muscles are in the face. Over 50 produce every facial expression and show even the slightest emotional state. Human muscles are so strong that they can even be superior to those of horses.

In Wales and Great Britain, there is an annual race between horses and riders and marathon runners. Most recently, in 2007, a runner crossed the finish line first after a cross-country race, ahead of a horse and rider.

Neglected muscles are often the reason for back pain; if your muscles are unfit, you cannot expect to be particularly sexually active, and if you neglect the most important muscle, the heart, you will inevitably end up with a premature failure of this life pump.
