"Going to the dogs" is now spelt differently: DIABETES.
Well over 100,000 diabetic dogs and cats in Germany receive regular insulin injections.
I've reported here many times that diabetes has reached epidemic proportions among people in industrialised countries. More and more pet owners are discovering that pets can also develop diabetes. Around 100,000 dogs and cats in Germany are already being treated with insulin, the hormone that regulates sugar metabolism, reports the German pharmacy magazine "Diabetes Ratgeber."
Honestly, this is not normal anymore. It really sheds light on this society. And how many dogs were "acquired" specifically to get their owners to go for a walk? And then both end up with the sugar needle.
