Prinz Philip talks about TV
The British Prince Philip blasphemes on modern television sets in his own way. "To find out how a TV works, you have to practically sleep with it," said the famous for his sayings spouse of Queen Elizabeth II have made on YouTube. And quite royal on the official royal channel of the Internet portal YouTube.
The prince wonders how tolerant people behave towards these dreadful things. Because even modern remote controls are made miserable, one would ultimately have to lie in front of the TV to serve it. "In the past, the TV was put on the floor, and then the manufacturers put the buttons at the bottom so you had to lie down on the floor," said the 88-year-old royal old in a video.
Unfortunately, the prince has not explained so far that you should completely banish these "things". But does it require royal help to be wise yourself? I do not think today. So, get rid of the TV and out to the real world.

Yoga is the best
Worth knowing about yoga
Strangely enough, yoga is always somehow transfigured. Yoga is simple and alone the all-encompassing system for body and mind.
Good to know:
1. There are so many yoga styles, there is something for everyone. From a gentle group for women to a power women's group. And men too of course!
2. Yoga is the ideal supplement for athletes. There is nothing better.
3. Forget about these circus acrobats. Yoga is more than just a balancing act, just because you were forced to play ballet as a child and can do now some Asanas.
4. And yoga is really not just for women. Men, join in! Although most are women.

In vino veritas
And do you also buy it at the supermarket?
These five recommendations might interest you.
1. White wine should not be older than two years.
2. If the wine has won awards or a medal, this is a sign of better quality. Someone with expertise has tested it here.
3. In Germany, the AP number is indicated on bottles. The last two digits indicate the year of bottling.
4. Most special offers are at the bottom of the shelf. But with wine, this can mean cheap goods - a headache.
5. If a discounter makes an effort and correctly labels its wine selections, explaining origin and taste, then this market can be trusted more than a mere "product display."

A word to those over 100 years old
Today I read a newspaper headline at the kiosk: Thousands of centenarians to blame for health insurance deficits!
Well, hello, the cat's finally out of the bag. What many have always suspected, for example, the government, health insurance companies, and even pension funds, have no interest in citizens getting "too old."
Ideal age to die:
1. From the perspective of the pension fund: 65 years
2. From the perspective of the health insurance companies: when a certain level of medical treatment costs is reached.
3. From the perspective of the government: anyone who doesn't pay taxes is basically superfluous
The way lies are spread about aging is demonstrated by an example on Web.de. It actually states, "...that lifestyle has relatively little influence on individual life expectancy." A study in the USA supposedly found this. According to the study, longevity depends solely on genes. So, smoke free! Have a drink now and then, and those few pounds of fat will be comfortable... And exercise is also harmful; it just wears out your bones.

Walk instead of sitting on the couch
1. Eat fruit instead of drinking juice. Fruit keeps your chewing organs fit, and juices often contain hidden amounts of sugar. Fruit is good for digestion, tastes delicious, and is cheaper than juice.
2. Try it. Skip the TV for a day and do something yourself. Make long phone calls, do things around the house that you have been putting off for a long time. There's a lot to do. Let's get to it!
3. Turn off your cell phone every now and then. What's the point of the constant beeping and ringtones? They get uncool after a while. You don't have to be constantly reachable. Finally, some peace and quiet for yourself.
4. Have a fresh plate of salad for lunch instead of dumplings, mashed potatoes, fries, and the like, with the appropriate side dishes.
5. PC? Yes, the PC can be just as addictive as watching TV. Press the off button, and that's it—at least one day a week.
6. Drink water. In most regions, tap water is absolutely perfect. Bottled water is more expensive and often unhealthy.
7. Get out and take a walk. Instead of chatting with friends on the couch, for example, you can do this while walking together.

Super-talented television that dumbs down the people
If you want to grow personally, meet friends and family again, have good sex again, even sleep better at night... well, the first thing you should do is get rid of your television!
Although the word "television" is no longer appropriate today. LOOK INTO THE DISTANCE. This ancient human dream was and is certainly fulfilled to some extent by a television medium. What it has become today, however, doesn't even deserve the word garbage. More like crap.
Give it a try. Throw the TV in the trash.*

It is television
Watching too much television will shorten your life
Six hours television a day will shorten your life by five years. With this fact television is playing in the same league than smoking or obesity. This is the result of a clinical study in Australia 2012. Australians watch on average two hours TV a day, while British people spend an hour more and do three hour. And you?
Sitting, too little exercise (movements) is strong connected to a higher risk of suffering of the common diseases, especially coronary illnesses. That's what I always said. If you want to grow in your personality and live not only longer but better, you have to destroy your TV!
Critics will say now, who cares? Better live shorter and have fun in life, than end up in an old peoples place worse of than battery chicken. But this is the wrong idea of getting old and being healthy. The aim should be, as long you are alive, body and mind should be in good condition and function well. Anything else is not worth doing. By the way, I am not blind. To sit in front of the PC does the same than the TV.
| Television in German is called "Fernseher". Which means about "look into the distance" You are better off to look at the real distance, for example on the beach. |

Is unhappiness = depressive?
The number of depressive people did not rise, but the consumption of anti-depressive medication did. One reason is the easy going mentality of many GPS' who like to subscribe to these medications. But it is well known that to be unhappy (today is quickly recognized as depressive) belongs to life like the rain in the weather.
Therefore, it is highly advised to solve the reasons for someone's unhappiness instead of using drugs. But here we are, the patient often looks for quick solutions - and the doctor needs to finance his living standards.

Type 2 diabetes can be prevented
First of all, type 2 diabetes is a type of diabetes caused by one's behaviour. So, how can you avoid this devilish disease with the sweet name?
First, understand that you shouldn't overeat (eat, because everything the body doesn't use is stored. The result is that people get fat. This also applies to animals, by the way; there are already many four-legged friends with diabetes.
The other way around, however, is also true: those who are already ill can often restore their health through a healthy diet, i.e., eating less! If a person constantly eats too well and eventually becomes fat, the sugar concentration in the blood can be permanently too high.
The pancreas will then secrete more and more insulin to transport the excess of the sweet substance into the cells. But as mentioned, there is help if it's not too late. If the pancreas hasn't yet stopped working, the insensitivity of the insulin receptors can be reversed by eating healthier foods.
If you eat little, you have only small amounts of glucose in your blood. The pancreas then secretes only a tiny amount of insulin. This makes the insulin receptors more sensitive again, and the transport of sugar from the blood into the body's cells starts up again.
So, stay slim! Or get slim fast!
You are what you eat - just a saying, but with deep meaning

Friday the 13th
If yes, you better stay in bed today.
But even than, you might need the toilet and slip on the corridor.
Would be nice if
magic works like this.
But it does't.
Being superstitious has a lot to do with these Fridays the 13th, all these black cats and probably even bent branches in your front garden on a child's birthday.
Forget these things.
How many Fridays the 13th have you survived without any harm so far?
You see?
Magic is more than entertainment. It works.

No time - too much time
What is time? I would say TIME IS GOD. At least the subject of time has remained undiscovered so far, as the one and real God has not been found. If you think differently, do so. That's the only way to start development and progress.
Now we have already (judgment!). February. Not long ago, we had New Year's Eve, 2014. Not long after that, it will be summer, and again ... you know.
So, what is it all about, the time?

An apple a day...
... an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. That's what we say here.
| Apples and carrots - very tasty. And healthy too.
It is not all about eating an apple. One reason some people get into misery is that they don't even know what an apple is, how and where it grows, how to eat it, and how good it is for well-being and staying trim and slim.
On an hour-long walk, I could count about 10 places in my little English coastal town where people have apple trees in their gardens, but these apples never get picked. That indicates a sickness that goes deeper than diabetes, cancer, and heart trouble. It is a disease of the brain.
But it is not all about apples. In Japan, they say... a plum a day, keeps the doctor away...

Say NO sometimes
You'll quickly be unhappy if you always try to make everybody happy. By following this,
you know exactly where you stand with others. And be as you are; always be honest and straightforward. This might be tough in some cases, but in the long term, you gain more.

What is meditation? Like coming home
![]() |
| Symondsbury Zen garden / UK built by Master Horst D. Lindenau 1994 |
There is no easy or even royal way among all the various methods of meditation. Each way only requires hard work.
And there is no end of the path and search, no state in which we can say: now I'm at the end.
A good meditation program is similar to a physical exercise program. Both require hard work.
An important part of any kind of meditation is to do one thing at the time.

Diabetes on the rise
A message in an English newspaper
"1 in 7 patients in our hospitals suffers from diabetes. It is predicted that the future treatment of this disease will cost more than 10 billion pounds."
TerLiMa-news reported two years ago that in the future, patients in hospitals will suffer from three diseases. Cardiovascular, diabetes and obesity. Well, on top of that, there might be the odd cases of senile dementia and /or cancer. Not good prospects. And the future means in the year 2023.
Men with a fat belly
Men with a flat stomach.

Delicious, the new burgers are coming soon
Unbelievable but true. And I think to myself, that's a good thing! Researchers are currently developing an artificial hamburger. Entirely artificially produced, more about it here.
https://www.theguardian.com/science/2013/aug/05/world-first-synthetic-hamburger-mouth-feel
If some people insist on eating such junk food, why not create it artificially? Add a nice Coke and then smoke. What more could you want?
