Tides in the Body

Some people are probably wondering why I'm highlighting the lunar phases during the full moon and new moon and posting them in my blog. The moon is something of a timekeeper for life on Earth. Like in the oceans, the human body has ebbs and flows.

Water flows through the cells in strict dependence on the moon. This is particularly strong during the new and full moons. The moon's effect is visible not only in the ocean, but also in trees, for example. Although invisible to the eye, but technically measurable, trees swell and shrink strictly in rhythm with the lunar phases.

And just like the cells in trees, our body cells react. The moon influences our body's water balance, and we should be aware of this. When people complain of difficulty sleeping during a full moon, it's not because it's too bright.

No, it's the body's water balance, which is influenced by the moon's position. Police officers and taxi drivers regularly report higher levels of alcohol consumption during a full moon, midwives are busier, and mosquitoes bite more quickly. Unfortunately, what hasn't been sufficiently researched yet is how we can utilize the lunar phases for practical purposes. Aside from a few esoteric approaches, research in this area is still very sparse.

Retirement home or suicide?

How do you imagine your retirement if you can no longer care for yourself, if your partner (if you had one) has predeceased you, or if you've ended up in a nursing home?

Garden > Healthiness

In the picture, you can see how you can create a garden even in the smallest spaces. Since the courtyard is completely sealed, I placed the beds in wooden troughs. This small garden offers enough space to grow vegetables for eight weeks. This year, I'm growing beans, zucchini, all kinds of herbs, green lettuce, peas, cucumbers, and leeks. The first small tomatoes are already in the greenhouse, and I'm looking forward to the chilli peppers. They were so hot last year that I still use some dried today as a peppery seasoning. Now, someone might think, eight weeks of vegetables? That's... roughly €150... I'd rather work for someone else for a few more hours and buy the greens from the supermarket. Because, man! The value of homegrown herbs, vegetables, and other greens can't be measured in euros. Instead of sitting in front of the TV, nursing a fat belly, and complaining about diabetes, I'd rather water my tomatoes. Do you know what homegrown tomatoes taste like? No? Then I strongly recommend starting a small garden right away. It's even possible on a balcony!

Master Horst D. Lindenau talks about meditation

What is meditation?
"Just like coming home."

Which kind is good for me? Suits me best?
"A good meditation program is similar to a physical exercise program. Both require hard work on yourself." Choose wisely.

What is important to consider?

"An important part of any type of meditation is doing one thing at a time. Few people have got the talent and ability of multi tasking."

Masturbation

Massage IV

Self-masturbation with a Terry cloth towel is both ingeniously simple and incredibly effective. Depending on hair growth and the upper part of the head, I'm talking about a gentle massage of the face, neck, ears, and back of the neck.

The towel is excellent for gently rubbing the mentioned area; you'll feel the strength and intensity while massaging it. Light rubbing, pressing, and pushing with the towel stimulates circulation and creates a pleasant warmth. Just like a classic massage. Only this little type can be done by yourself; it's quick, costs nothing, and is extremely pleasant. Be careful around the eyes, of course. Enjoy!
