Feel free to cheat once in a while

No, not what you're thinking ;-) I'm thinking of our daily study of the same newspaper, magazine, or news channels. We choose what we want to see and hear. But that can quickly lead to repeatedly being fed the same old stuff without really noticing.

For example, if you're more left-leaning, why not read a conservative dispatch? And if you're more drawn to documentaries and nonfiction, try a novel. Give the remote control to your kids... and on the internet, it's easy to click somewhere completely different anyway.

No one is born a master.

I still remember exactly when we went to Hamburg for the seminar. A master of mine and two other students were there. After the workshop, we naturally went out to Hamburg's nightlife. The next day, another "higher" master complained to my master that he was going out with us "student grades" in the evenings instead of with him. He was supposed to be a master!
My school's master replied that everyone is a master in some way. One gives birth to a child, and the other is a master carpenter.

Now, what does the title of master mean in martial arts? In yoga or any other art form? I mean practice, practice, practice, and iron discipline. And I would like to add another thing: Any "enlightenment" that might be achieved with mastery only lasts 14 days. Then it must be earned anew.
